One consumer products customer needed a complete, packaged assembly with one unusual part. This part needed three threaded ports, including two internal threads, each with a different pitch, and an internal passage connecting them. |

We met this challenge by designing a mold with unthreading cores, geared to turn
at different rates, but delayed at mold opening while a separate, skewed core piloted thru a hold in one
of the rotating cores to form the interconnecting passageway. The outside of the part is beautiful and
the consumer has no idea of the mold complexity obvious from the back. This mold has made about 100,000
parts and runs very well.
