Case Snapshot 1
One customer needed a consistent high volume supply of small, molded laser supports that could withstand intermittent temperatures of 500°F while maintaining geometric stability. This part had nearly 85 features packed into an envelope of about 0.013 cubic inches. Two features were held to about 0.00010 inches, true position and size. Many other features were held almost that tight. The molded part had to go thru five (5) hand deflashing and cleaning steps under a microscope, and then be coated with metal for EMI-RFI shielding. And after a rigorous, 100% final inspection, we continue to compete favorably with Asian competitors.
